Elmer H. Lueker

	Elmer H. Junior Lueker, age 76, of Pinckneyville, IL, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Elmer was born near Rice, IL in Washington County on August 9, 1923, the son of Elmer H. Lueker, Sr. and Anna (Reidelberger) Lueker. He married E. Maxine Hartwell on October 25, 1942 at the United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville and she survives. During his lifetime he served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, was employed as a coal miner with Consolidated Coal Company, was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, a former Past President of the Pinckneyville Lions Club, was a member of the Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, was Past-President of the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and attended the First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville.
	Survivors include his wife: Maxine of Pinckneyville; one son: Steven Lueker, and his wife, Kathleen, of Mt. Vernon, IL; one daughter: Judith E. Vlasek, and her husband, Don, of Katy, Texas; two sisters: Marjorie Rigdon, and her husband, Elvin, of Pinckneyville and Jane Taylor of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren: Laura Stratton of Deltona, FL, Dustin Hindman of Dallas, TX, Charles Lueker of Fort Lewis, WA, Nathan Hindman of Longmont, CO, Josh Lueker and Kristi Lueker, both of Mt. Vernon, IL; four great-grandchildren: Lacy, Lanie, Lakin and Mason Stratton, along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: John F. Lueker and Herbert Leroy Peterson; and one sister: Maxine Marlow.
	Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville with Reverend James Bush officiating. Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends were able to call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home on Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
	Memorials may be made to the American Parkinsons Disease Association.
	Graveside military rites were provided by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504.
